 Can anyone else who lives in North Texas say that they live in a seaside Croatian style village? I don't think so. But in a matter of months, you can have the opportunity to be one of the first residents of Adriatica! Read below about more of the exciting features being built in Adriatica in Stonebridge Ranch!

Part 2 

So, your curiosity is peaked after reading the first blog entry about Adriatica, is it?

Well, it's hard for it not to be! In this post I'll be describing a few features that are going to be in the RIVA - aka Harbor District. The aerial photo to the left was taken at the end of May 2007 and you can see the construction that is currently under way.

Tha RIVA will be "the lifeblood and soul of the village" according to developer, Jeffory Blackard. It will be the SE corner of the developement and will contain a 74-room Boutique Hotel, wedding chapel on 1 of the 2 islands, flats & lofts above the retail spaces, a Galleon (replica of the "Dubrovnik") at dock in Stonebridge Lake that will house a coffee bar and ice cream shop, and romantic Venetian canals running through it all. For those of you interested in living in one of the flats or lofts in the Harbor District, you had better hurry! According to the website, approximately 85% of the units had been spoken for back in September 2006. The residences will range from approximately 600 - 4000 square feet, and will be priced from $120,000 to $800,000. Final finish-out price will be approx. $200 per square foot. In total there will be no more than 50 spaces to choose from, with an estimated 35-40 to be built.

The B-Hotel will contain 74 rooms, banquet, conference and meeting facilities. Like all other buildings in Adriatica, it will have a European flair, the hotel being Venetian style. 

The wedding chapel, located on one of the islands, will be like no other wedding destination in North Texas. Being accessible by only 2 Roman style bridges, the chapel will be constructed by stone masons and will have the appearance of rising out of the water. Talk about ROMANTIC!

2. Retail - In Adriatica, the spirit of the community will be the mix of living and working in the same area. No longer will you have the problem of not knowing your neighbors because they simply drive into their garage and quickly close the door behind them. You also won't have to drive everywhere to get a loaf of bread, a bite to eat, or to go for a scenic jog or stroll in the community. Some of the local stores already include:
